Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our half-day treatment option, or what we call IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), allows clients to attend groups while they transition back into their lives outside of treatment. IOP takes place between 3 to 5 days per week for 3 hours each day.
While at this level of care, clients are expected to be working or looking for a job, attending school or applying to school, or volunteering. We provide them with resources needed to achieve their personal goals, so we help to set them up for long-term success.
Most days, clients attend group therapy or check-in with their counselor in a one-on-one session. This phase is crucial for newly sober addicts and alcoholics because they are held accountable and closely monitored.
While transitioning back into life outside of treatment, triggers may present themselves and old situations and friends may test the individual’s sobriety.
It is hoped that through the intensive outpatient program, instead of turning back to substances, clients will check-in with our clinical team and work through issues that arise.
